We would like to take this opportunity to update everyone on the high water situation. We have been working hard to mitigate the inconvenience of the water levels and appreciate everyone’s patience as we wait for the waters to recede. Toronto Hydro has informed all island residence that due to high water levels affecting their electrical equipment on the island, and in order to minimize any damage to the equipment and to protect public safety, they may be forced to de-energize the equipment on an emergency basis. They are performing inspections twice a day and so far everything is okay. We remain in regular communication with Toronto Hydro and will update everyone as we receive further updates. Please understand that in the extreme circumstance that all power is cut to the marina we will have to close down operations until such time as the power is restored. Staff will remain on site to monitor the property and boats and we will remain in communication through any of these circumstances. Any concerns should be sent via email during this time.
Currently, Toronto Island Marina remains open and operational at this time. We had a great Season Opener Party and we thank everyone who came out. Now that the music has started we will keep it going all season long.
This Friday night we will be having our first Open Mic Night with Lil’ Steve hosting. Saturday night we have an eclectic island favorite, The Grand Hanlan Band. The fun starts at 8 pm, don’t forget your dancing shoes.
Thank you for your patience as we work through the high water and we look forward to seeing everyone on the island.
